I’ve noticed avocado ice-cream has recently become quite the trendy treat, but this recipe is actually a ‘nicer’ take on one that I grew up with.
Originally made by blending deliciously sticky and sweet condensed milk, whipped cream, avocados and lime juice, I remember hardly being able to wait until frozen to enjoy this sweet and sour dessert.
While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with indulging from time to time, I’m personally a firm believer that there’s also a lot right with treating yourself, better, all the time.
I recently read, ‘eating healthy food is a form of self-care’ and isn’t that the truth! But only when it’s delicious and satisfying – and being easy to prepare is a plus, too.
This avocado nice-cream is all of those things, as well as being super special to me, so I’m excited to know what you think!
INGREDIENTS
2 frozen bananas
1 frozen avocado
Juice of 1 lime (or 2, if you prefer things on the tarter side like me)
2 tbs Greek yogurt
2 tbs honey
METHOD
Process all ingredients until smooth. Add extra yogurt if necessary to help it blend.
Freeze for 1-2 hours before serving.

Delicious and healthy ice cream Nat. So happy you were inspired by the one you grew up with ❤
